What is Build It With Me?

Build It With Me is a tool that connects design & development entrepreneurs. It exists to make creating apps easier by connecting you with like-minded designers & developers with the same goal: create cool & useful apps.
Getting funding for your app idea is hard and often unrealistic. Most of the time you may just need to connect with a partner who has a skill set you lack to finish off your app. This is where Build It With Me is comes in, connecting you to those people.
Skip the funding. Build It With Me will help you bootstrap your ideas into actual apps.

Are there legal commitments made here?

No. Build It With Me is simply a "discovery" tool. It helps you find people you could potentially partner with to build your app. Build It With Me is not responsible for any legal commitments of any kind made between you and anyone else. It exists only to help you find other great design & development entrepreneurs.

What if I don't want my idea to get ripped off?

On Build It With Me, you control the amount of detail disclosed about your idea. If you want to keep some information private, simply instruct readers to contact you for more details. Also, Build It With Me automatically re-sizes your images to a small enough size that no one will be able to "carbon copy" your designs. The original images are not stored, making it safe for you to upload your concept designs/screenshots.

Does it cost anything?

No. Built It With Me is completely free, there are no fees to use it what-so-ever.

Who made Build It With Me?

Drew Wilson. I made it because I always wished there was some way to get my ideas out into the web community and work with other talented people on my personal projects.
Since there wasn't really a good spot to do that, I built Build It With Me. I hope you find it useful!

Who hosts Build It With Me?

Build It With Me is hosted by the awesomeness that is MediaTemple. The guys and service at MediaTemple have been great. A huge thanks to them for contributing to the Build It With Me community!

Will my Email address get spammed?

Build It With Me is built on the Titan Javascript Web Framework I created. The content is loaded in from the database via JSON. HTML/Text and images are not accessible to the DOM (web page) until you actually see it. So your email address is not even available to be scrapped up by a bot when the web page loads. You would have to click on a User and when their "User Info panel" appears, so will their email. Since this is all done in javascript, you are safe from spam bots :)
